Batteries, Bands, & Bracelets WS-205
This workshop will provide you with an overview on the removal and installation of watch batteries, watch bands, and bracelets on a variety of styles and types of watch cases. Batteries, bands, and bracelets are replaced at jeweler stores, department stores, mall kiosks, and watch owners every day. These common repairs are done on all makes and models of watches, and this workshop will increase your knowledge and ability to confidently address batteries, bands, and bracelets.



Each participant will increase their knowledge on:

  • Removal of different types of case backs
  • Safe removal of the battery
  • Battery Selection
  • Battery installation
  • Case back installation
  • Removal of different types of watch bands and bracelets
  • Band and bracelet selection
  • Band and bracelet sizing and installation

Required tools for workshop:

  • Case opening knife
  • Case cushion
  • Spring bar tool
  • Single edge razor blades
  • Band holding block w/pin removing punches
  • Digital or dial caliper in millimeters
  • Jewelers screwdrivers (optional)
  • Plastic tweezers for battery installation
  • Steel tweezers #3
  • Brass or bronze tweezers
  • Plastic pick
