The next meeting of chapter 40 will be held on  Saturday  April 7, 2018. The meeting will be held at the Saratoga Springs United Methodist Church 175 Fifth Avenue Saratoga Springs, NY , across from BOCES at the corner of Henning Road.  There will  be a complimentary continental breakfast at 9 and no charge for the meeting  .There will be a very large mart comprised of the contents of the famed Red Barn, owned by Dr. Roger Malebranche.  Dr. Malebranche is donating half of the proceeds of his sales to chapter 40 .  There are two larger lathes, machinist chests with contents, large numbers of wooden dials, metal dials, bezels, old movements, over 200 clocks, and much more.   As details are arranged, pictures will be placed on this site.

The Monday Night Clock Group continues to meet as it has for the past 40 years at the Burnt Hills Baptist Church on Kingsley Road Burnt Hills, NY every Monday night from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.  Coffee and refreshments are served and there is a weekly talk on collecting and repairing clocks and watches.  As well, clocks and watches are bought and sold and the public is invited to attend for advice on repair and appraisal and to join the group, fees are $20. per year and we take the summer off, starting after Labor day and ending in June.  Call Peter Elmendorf at 518-587-4435 for more information.

There are now 2 courses in clock repair being given at Saratoga Springs City School District at the Senior High School through the continuing education department.  The beginning course is taught by Peter Elmendorf and the advanced course is taught by Karl Burghart.  The next course starts on March 1, 2118.  To register use this web site:
