Annual Meeting, workshop, presentation April 22, 2117 see details below

The next meeting of chapter 40 will be held on Saturday April 22, 2017  from 9 am to 2 pm.  It will be a luncheon meeting with a continental breakfast at 9 and the lunch at noon.  Anyone bringing a prospective new member will attend the meeting free of any charge for registration or lunch and their guest will be free as well.  We will hold a 50-50 raffle to benefit the chapter and our library will be on hand.  There will be a large silent auction and tables available for the mart at no charge, please reserve in advance.  We will hold our annual business meeting and vote in the new officers.  We will have a speaker and a workshop.  The workshop will be on repairing the English Huygens 30 hour longcase clock with hoopwheel striking, by Peter Elmendorf.   Edward Sipay will be the speaker and the topic will be how to bid at a clock auction and how to lose money buying and selling clocks.  Cost for registration is $10 and lunch is $25 for a total of $35.  The meeting will be held at the Saratoga Springs United Methodist Church 175 Fifth Ave. Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.  We will be having a display of Ansonia clocks and will award a prize of $100. to the finest one displayed, determined by a vote of those present.  To make a reservation call Peter Elmendorf, secretary,  at 587-4435.
